Meet the Founder + Team

Hi there, I’m Keturah Ford! I began writing the Mommyhood Deconstructed books in 2019 to challenge the facade of the ”perfect family” because we all have struggles. I also initiated a Virtual Mommy + Me Story Time in 2020 as a way to bring people together during the COVID-19 quarantine.

My work spans over two decades in the areas of social services and education with roles in crisis recovery, mental health, domestic violence, parenting education, and family literacy.

Trained in Biblical Counseling, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (B.A.), Masters of Science in Education (M.S. Ed.), and relevant facilitator certifications in Trauma Healing, Marriage Enrichmentand Parenting Instruction.

I attribute much of my interest in the dynamics of family to my personal experiences of being the eldest of six children and uniquely connected to literally hundreds of relatives through my father and late mother’s equally large families.
